IDO UK 2021 STREET DANCE DEPARTMENT EDUCATIONAL DAY

In an attempt to get our ido uk family together and keep dancing during these difficult times, we have decided to take our annual educational day online!
For dancers this is an opportunity to be taught by 5 specialists from the uk and IDO international, keep up with training and connect with their dance family.
Professionals with dancers attending can join the workshops and discussion session for free.

2pm - popping with georg wondrak (Germany)

Costs per dancer
£7.50 per session
£13 for 2 sessions
£20 for all sessions
Places can only be booked via professionals. Professionals, please collate a list of attendees via the excel spreadsheet provided. Once this and payment is received, you will be added to a group with zoom codes. It is important that dancers names are their zoom names as only those on your lists, will be permitted entry.

IDO continent vs continent championships
Amazing online event with international rounds and a chance to win a share of €25,000 prize money!
This is a blended street dance department competition open to any uk dancer!
You can enter in any/all of the styles in our department:
Street Dance Show
Categories and time limits
SOLO (male and female together) - Under 2:30 minutes, no minimum set
DUO/COUPLES - Under 2:30 minutes, no minimum set
GROUP (3 OR MORE DANCERS) - Under 4:00 minutes, minimum 2:00 minutes
All dancers dance on their own music but it must suit the style the are dancing.
All music must be clean and contain no offence lyrics or themes.
12 & UNDER - Born 2009 or later
13 – 16 YEARS - Born 2008, 2007, 2006 AND 2005
17 & MORE (Professional level incl.) – Born 2004 and before
The highest scoring 30 solos, duos and groups in each age section will be selected to progress to the next round of the competition against other European dancers who progress from their countries.

ROUND 5 - FINALS SHOWCASE at IDO GALA WORLD EVENT
£7 per person for solos and duos
£25 group (3 plus dancers - no maximum limit)
Please note if you make it through to the european rounds of this event, there is a one off IDO fee payable. 30 Euros for solo, 50 Euros for duo and 70 Euros for group per video.

For round one
Videos and payments 10th April
Results will follow with the highest scoring videos progressing by 20th April.
Video can be recorded anywhere (at competition, dance studio, outside, home etc.).
Video must be in a horizontal orientation.
Video has to be taken in one shot (no editing, no effects, exception allowed: in case you are using video from previuos competitions video may be taken from different angles (multiple cameras), but it has to be obvious that edited parts are from the same one time performance).
If possible have a clear background and natural llight from the front, no bright windows behind.
Recording video and playing music simultaneously.
No names, no titles, no studio logos at the video - NO TEXT! (start number and title of choreography will be provided to judges while judging)
You are permitted to dance against yourself ie enter one hip hop solo, one breaking solo and one disco solo for example
No lower time limit on video entries
Videos can be from a different age catergory but you must compete in the section that reflects your current age.
All dancers receive a ranking certificate for every round of the competition
Videos must be landscape not portrait!
Winning soloists can win €200-300, duos €250-350, groups €300-400
